Dr. Hewgley is originally from the suburbs of north Atlanta and completed her bachelor degrees in Biological Sciences and Nutrition Science summa cum laude with honors at the University of Georgia (go Dawgs!). She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction for service from the University of North Carolina and is a proud Tarheel!

She’s excited to be serving the community she fell in love with during school. Dr. Hewgley believes in the importance of lifelong learning and is passionate about continuing education and maintaining a strong relationship with the dental school. She loves that dentistry has the power to be so transformative. She is a member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hewgley enjoys exploring local restaurants with her husband and friends, catching the latest movie, keeping up with her dog, Milo, and traveling.
