We recently switched to Tarheel Family Dentistry from a Raleigh dentist and have absolutely loved this practice! It was easy to make an appointment - the front desk staff are great - and the hygienists are very knowledgeable, completing painless, thorough cleanings (as well as being super-friendly). Dr. Hewgley is amazing too - she proactively referred me to a specialist for a long-running issue and for the first time in years that it is now improving! I also like that I have not been pressured to immediately get crown work done - I can do it on a schedule that works for me.

Wonderful experience - and this is something I do not say easily about a dental clinic. I felt taken care of during the appointment, and there was no pressure for extra drilling (unlike other dentists I have been to in the past). I would highly recommend this firm.

I've been really impressed with this dental clinic! The place is spotless, bright, and welcoming—exactly what you want when walking into a dentist’s office. The staff is always punctual and super friendly, which makes the whole experience even better. I especially appreciate the care and attention from hygienist Eddy and Dr. Hewgley. They both take their time and never make the appointment feel rushed. You can tell they truly care about doing quality work. Another big plus: their billing is spot on. I’ve had headaches in the past with other clinics over insurance and overpayments, but not here. Everything is handled smoothly and accurately—no back-and-forth required. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable and professional dental office!

Easy, quick and professional. I usually get SUPER freaked out, even with just a consultation, at the dentist. However, I felt safe and heard. I felt like I was treated like family more than just a patient. They’ve made a patient for life.
